I think that the biggest problem with most people’s new year’s resolutions is that they’re often shrouded in negativity. It’s always about NOT doing something. Such, as not smoking, not doing drugs, not drinking & driving, not having sex with underage girls, or not cheating on your spouse. Even ones that seem positive like losing weight or getting out of debt have been dipped in the sewers of negative thoughts and should be avoided.

Happy New Year!
Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Hope all of you had a great time celebrating the end of ’07 and the start of ’08 last night and into this morning. I had a really fun night partying with two of my best friends and lots of alcohol. My goal was to have some videos of us playing Rock Band and Singstar, but we never got around to playing those two games. Nevertheless, good times were definitely had.
New Year’s Eve 2000
It was before I started surrounding myself with jaw-dropping beauties and supplying my liver with overpriced alcohol from clubs. Yet, somehow, my New Year’s Eve 2000 was by far the most fun I’ve ever had celebrating the dawning of a new year. It wasn’t even that it was my first in San Francisco and the one celebrating the start of the new millennium, but just that it was fun in the purest of forms.
I had just moved into San Francisco to work at IGN.com. While I looked for a place, Sam Kennedy (Gamespot then and 1up.com now) agreed to let me move into his 1BR apartment in the Mission District if I paid half the rent. Once I got there, Sam K & I convinced David Toole to leave is well-paid position atTarget back in Orlando to move out here on a whim because he could easily get a game industry job too. He moved. He quickly got a job with Sam K at Gamespot.
