At this point, if Canseco claimed to stick steroid needles into the ass of Jesus I would believe him. He was right about A-Rod and he’s right about more than 2/3rds of the league using it during the early 90s. At this point, it’s non-issue to me. There’s really no way of telling who “cheated” and who didn’t so you just gotta assume that everyone did. It was “legal” in the baseball world, and, according to Canseco, more people were on it than weren’t. A-Rod used, but so did whoever is your favorite player. And, as Kevin Brown proves, it doesn’t matter if the player has muscles or not. Skinny twig bitches used steroids, too.

You can rationalize that someone like Greg Maddux didn’t use because he’s not a power pitcher and isn’t muscular but that’d be naive on your part. Steroids or HGH could be the reason he’s been able to pitch this long at such a high level. Using doesn’t necessarily mean big muscles and more power, it could just mean quicker recovery time. Or even extending your career a few years longer than it would normally end. People like to say that it’s clear that Griffey Jr was clearly natural and now should be called the “best ever” because of guys like A-Rod and Bonds being “caught” but how do we know he’s clean? He’s had a TON of tendon injuries and steroid abuse is linked to tendon damage…so how can we conclude that he’s been 100% clean? There’s just no way of knowing who cheated and who didn’t. Sure, positive tests might make it easier to place blame on some of the guilty but it in no way proves innocent for everyone else.

I just think we need to move on and deal with it. Instead of banning people from the Hall of Fame, just institute different standards. 600 is the new 500. Compare players based on their own era instead of against others. Sosa hitting 600 HRs in his era is probably comporable to someone hitting 400-500 HRs in the 70s and 80s. Don’t keep him, McGwire, Bonds or A-Rod out of the Hall of Fame just because they “used” or allegedly “used”, but just put their stats in perspective against their contemporaries. It’s quite simple and is common sense as far as I’m concerned, but the sad truth is that common sense is very uncommon and most people just don’t have it.

The thing is that I’m not the first person to have this ridiculous idea, as google provided quite a bit of fun crap when searching for “flamethrower snow”, including this image below that was apparently an ad in the early 1970s. The best part about this ad is the comment, “It’s so easy even your wife can do it!” I guess things were a little different back in the ’70s.

There is some promising news to report, however. I’ve just noticed that the girls directly across from me and the naked girl the floor below them have been opened up their shades this afternoon. If they stay open for tonight, I may get a peep show for free! If not, then I’ll have to count on Bad Company & Too Human to entertain myself until it’s time to get drunk and party with the hot girls of Boston.

More now than ever I really wish my building finished the garage renovations on time because a spot would be absolute heaven right now. If I don’t post again after this, it probably means that I froze to death on the way to work and you’ll likely see something on the news about them finding a giant and tremendously ugly prehistoric beast looking thing in a block of ice in Brookline.

They’re saying we will be getting up to 12″ of snow and I honestly don’t mind at all because I’m stuck inside this weekend anyway because of the surgery. Really love watching the snowfall, anyway, because it’s almost as pretty as the snow in APF during night games. It can be quite mesmorizing and, thankfully, I don’t have to drive in it.

The problem out here is that it’s a lot harder to spot them early. Back in San Francisco, an SUV with stuffed animals or Hello Kitty stickers all over the windows pretty much signaled to you that you needed to get off the road immediately or face potential death or mutilation. Here in Mass, there’s no tell signs because it can be anyone, including white males, which completely baffles me.

Seriously, it is NOT that hard to understand the concept of merging into traffic. If you use the merge lane to get up to the speed of the traffic, it is tremendously EASY to slide right in (that’s what she said!). If you come to a complete STOP in the middle of that same damn merge lane, it is extremely difficult to find a gap big enough for you to accelerate into. Dirt simple mindless shit, but apparently only 1 out of 5 people actually understand this concept here.

Then there’s the whole driving 25 MPH below the speed limit when it’s raining…and when you’re on a side road where the speed limit is 45 MPH. The roads weren’t THAT wet and you could’ve easily driven the speed limit without any fear of hydroplaning or what not. There’s no reason to be going 20 freaking miles per hour, especially when these same people will go 60 on the highway after getting off that stupid road. It’s fucking retarded.

Anyway, this weekend should be a blast. The plan is to hit up Middlesex Lounge in Cambridge tonight without the angry friend and then tomorrow we’ll be back at Model Central, aka Venu in Boston. I’m expecting the roll to be fierce on both nights and hopefully I’ll come back with some good stories, maybe some pics and if I’m lucky some brand new STDs.

What’s even cooler about it is that the bouncers have seen Brandon & I enough that they have decided to just start waving us in and don’t even bother carding us anymore. The odd thing about this is that I’ve been kicked out of this club twice already and both times I turned into angry Dave and starting yelling “I’m going to fucking kill you!” repeatedly to the bouncer and had to be pulled away. Despite this, we’re getting VIP treatment now. I really love Boston.

My pimp factor was particularly high last night because my girl Erica (a one time Babe of the Week) and her insanely hot model friend Karlelisa came out so I spent most of the night surrounded by two of the hottest girls in the club. And even though I didn’t spend much time hitting on girls because I was with them, it’s like I told Erica –it’s all about making me look like a pimp. The other girls there surely noticed me with them and subsequently had to assume that there must be something special about me so they’ll undoubtedly be interested and take notice if they ever see me out in the future without the hot girls.

If that wasn’t enough, when Brandon was hitting on this group of girls on the dance floor one of them noticed me and asked if my name was Dave. It turned out that it was this girl Emilee that I used to be really great friends with via Myspace. We actually had a huge falling out back in the day and stopped being friends, so much so that when I texted her to let her know I was moving to Boston, she responded by saying that she hoped my plane would crash and I would die.

I was half scared that she was gonna hit me with a right cross, but it turned out that she was excited to see me and we pretty much mended things. She was looking really fucking hot, too, so once again it was a huge plus for the night. She’s always been hot, but last night she was looking like a solid 10.

I started goofing off pretty hardcore later and had two huge groups of hot girls laughing their asses off, but didn’t bother talking to them because I knew I was too drunk to properly game so I figured I’d just leave it at that and hope they’d remember me in the future. Considering we tend to see people out more than once, the chances are pretty good of that happening.

All-in-all it was an amazing night but the angry Dave came out again at one point because some dude pissed me the fuck off. It took all my will power to keep from knocking his ass out and I instead just punched the bar a couple of times and cut up my knuckle pretty bad. I took this as a sign that I needed to call it a night and decided to take off.

It didn’t seem to be that way at first, however. The level of party-going traffic on the train and on the streets when Brandon and I ventured out was pretty minimal. We were starting to think it was a bad decision to come out. Both Gypsy and Estate seemed pretty dead from the outside. What intrigued us was that we kept seeing hot groups of Asian girls going into and leaving Estate so it definitely piqued our interest enough to head inside. While it wasn’t that full initially, upon entering we were absolutely bombarded with the fact that the place was 99% Asian and probably 90% of the girls were rather hot. I hadn’t been in such a high concentration of beautiful Asians since the last time I was in Japan during my IGN.com days. Not even in San Francisco, where there’s a massive population of them.

My white half was having a serious case of yellow-fever and my Asian half was experiencing some guilt for all the self hate. It was ridiculous just how many ridiculously cute girls were in attendance, particularly when the place filled up to capacity over time. The shell shock caused me to do nothing but gawk and drink for the first half hour or so, but eventually Brandon & I started to roll some chicks and get some numbers. I even used my mind control super powers to get girls to kiss me simply by pointing to my cheek and saying “give me a kiss”. Thinking back, I’ve come to realize that I failed pretty hardcore at closing and could’ve taken those much further, but you live and you learn. I’ll be better equipped for the next time we go out, which will be this Friday.

Oh, yeah, something else that was pretty funny was that my 5′11″ ass felt like I was tall there. I was probably the 3rd tallest person in the club, with only Brandon and this Yao Ming dude looking down at me. Plus, there were so many really short, nice cleavaged and obnoxiously cute girls walking around that had to pretty much bend their heads backwards to make eye contact with me. I felt very Alpha. My only regret, other than my poor closing ability, is that I didn’t try to hit on any of the three blonde white girls that were in the club. One was with two Asian dudes and appeared to be having a good time, but the other two looked bored, alone and out of place because nobody was talking to them. They probably would’ve been relatively easy targets now that I think about it.

After we were done with Estate we hit up Gypsy and found the place crowded. It was a more “normal” crowd for Boston, with primarily white people, but it was also a very typical Gypsy crowd with a plethora of beautiful and slutty girls. It was fun, but I honestly was a bit faded by then and the memory isn’t quite as clear as to the happenings. The big win was that I woke up this morning and had my jacket, ID, credit cards, iPhone, camera and wallet. It’s always good when you don’t lose or break anything.

Last night, however, was a bit sketchy. It was fantastic at the place and I had an amazing time, but I got wicked lost on the walk home — even more so than two weeks ago when the random hot young girl brought me into her home for some coffee. I ended up near Cleveland Circle, which is hella far from where I needed to be and in the completely wrong direction. I also kept trying to take drunken naps on the sidewalk but a very kind police officer kept waking me up and telling me to get home. I begged for a lift at one point, but he said he wasn’t allowed to and that he could only call a cab…but, since I was out of cash and for some reason Boston cabs are anti-credit cards that didn’t do me any good.

I eventually found my way to Beacon St, where my apartment is on, but it was crazy far from where I lived and in completely the opposite direction from where I should’ve been heading. I was so pissed because I just wanted to get home and I took my frustrations out on Brandon’s voicemail. Anyway, the duo of Babes is coming soon. The exact time is TBD, much like the continuation of the World Series that nobody seems to be watching.

What’s even worse is that it’s cold and rainy right now so I can’t even go outside and stalk all the hot girls that would normally be walking around. Oh, well, I might still try and make it out tonight if I’m feeling up for it so hopefully that will make up for all of today’s boredom. And, no, I won’t be killing my innards with alcohol tonight. If I go, it’ll be partying it up sober style (just acting like a drunken idiot).

Not only is this city filled with beautiful spank-worthy women, but so is the building I’m living in. I always look forward to taking a ride down the elevator or heading into the gym because there’s a fairly decent chance I’ll see some fine ass girls. For instance, when I went to the gym for some cardio I was greeted with this extremely sexy tall blonde on the stairmaster. Her tits were kinda lacking, but she was very thin and fit and had a really nice pooper.

Then shortly after she left and just when I was about to wrap up my workout, a shorter brunette that had tiniest of waists and a great ass and fantastic set of breastississs came strolling in. I wasn’t about to leave without checking her out more so I decided to do an unscheduled weight training workout. I’m a bit sore now thanks to the double dose of exercise, but it was more than worth it.

After I gathered enough images to deposit into my Spank Bank™, I finally left and headed back up to my apartment to shower so I could head over to the bank before it closed. As always, the walk provided great eye candy all the way to the bank where my teller turned out to be a fine ass Asian honey. From there, it was Trader Joe’s time and, once again, I was floored by all the talent on display at the store. The only shitty part is that there was so many attractive girls to look at today that my brain is hurting with the visual overload.

My only complaint so far with this area is the damn humidty. It’s just gross today thanks to the oncoming storm and not only did I have to shower after my workout but I also had to shower again after walking to the BofA and Trader Joe’s thanks to all the sweating caused by the humidty and my amped metabolism as a result of the great workout. All in all, I’m enjoying life and can’t wait till I get down under 250 again so I can start doing more than just gawking.

Hence, Brandon Justice and I have been rating girls on a +/- scale that is based on the attractivness of the face versus the body. Next time you’re out and about you should give it a shot, because it’s really quite fun. We were both downtown doing some shopping for tonight’s clubbing festivities and we would just constantly see a girl and then immediately say something like “minus 3″ or on the rare occasion “plus 1″.

However, things have been improving exponentially over the past few days with today’s experience on The T really changing my mind about the quality of women in this city. The best thing is that I’ve been told that things get a billion times better once September comes around and the college girls start flooding the city. I can’t wait!

It was by far the hardest decision I’ve yet made in my life to leave both VC and the bay area, but this new opportunity was impossible to pass up and is a change that I needed to make both personally and professionally. While it really saddens me to leave so many great friends and my younger brother John behind, I’m looking forward to and am immensely excited about what my future beholds. I’ll post more when I get there, as I’m doing this from my iPhone at the Oakland airport waiting for my flight to board.

The best part about it was this didn’t seem possible even a year ago. We had just finished one of the worst seasons in team history where we tanked the last half of the season in the hopes of getting the 1st pick in the draft lottery to land Oden or Durant. Then the lottery balls don’t fall our way and we end up getting stuck with the 5th pick of the draft all but ending our hopes of building a championship team for years to come. But then Danny boy traded that pick for Ray Allen, which was universally DOGGED on draft day by all the experts, and then used the leverage of having Ray Ray convince Kevin Garnett to accept a trade to wear Celtic green. And, well, the rest is history. We’re the 2008 NBA Champions!

PS – I think this means that The Curse of Dave Z might be finally over!
