Cheerleader Duel: Oregon vs Auburn

It’s about halfway through the 2nd quarter and I must say that the BCS National Championship is living up to the hype. Regardless of who comes out on top, I’ve seen enough to know that both Auburn and Oregon are very talented teams that are fully deserving of battling for the title. Sorry TCU, but these are the top two teams in the nation.

Where the battle may not be as close is with the cheerleaders. While I have the utmost respect for the titillating talent produced in the South and in the state of Alabama, based on what’s been shown on air so far, the tight bodied college pieces of ass cheering on the Ducks seem leaps and bounds above Auburn’s little sluts. That said, I sure wouldn’t mind taking each and every single one of them for a test drive at least once or twice.

Boycotting the Bowls

Alright, so I’ve decided that I’m going to completely boycott all the bowl games, with the exception of any that my pitiful Hurricanes are playing in (kind of wish I boycotted that spanking UW gave us). I think it’s just gotten to the point where it’s obvious to everyone that the BCS doesn’t work and that we need a playoff in college football. The college football fans overwhelmingly agree with this, but the men in power don’t seem to care because they’re making a lot of money with the current system.

All the bitching and moaning by fans or the media just won’t change this, so I figure I ought to do the only thing I can do and stop supporting this travesty by continuing to watch the games. I’m sure I’ll miss out on a lot of excellent football, but I decided that it’d be hypocritical to complain about the system and then support it 100% by watching all the games religiously as I’ve done year in and year out. Complaining and continuing to support the broken system won’t help change things. Me personally not watching won’t, either but at least I will be doing the right thing.

What A Great Weekend

For starters, I had amazing nights out on both Friday and Saturday. Both evenings were loads of fun and there were plenty of hot chicks to entertain everywhere we went. Then things went really good with all of my football teams on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Miami Hurricanes took care of business against Wake Forest and still have an outside shot at the ACC title or at least being bowl eligible. The Dolphins played great today and beat down the Buffalo Bills, with Ginn Jr finally showcasing his playmaking ability. And that’s not all, my fantasy football team scored 109 points and barring a 40+ point outburst by Scaife on MNF should up its record to 6-2 and into a three-way tie atop the division.

And in what might quite possibly be the best news of the weekend, I weighed-in this morning at 299.6 lbs. Hopefully I won’t ever allow myself to go up past the 300 mark ever again for the rest of my life. If I do, I give you permission to put a bullet in my head. It feels good to be back under 300 lbs and I can’t wait till my wrist and ankle/foot heal up so I can start getting back into the gym on a regular basis.

BCS Time Machine

Considering the SEC’s dominance that I touched upon below — 39-22 record in bowl games over the past seven years — one has to wonder how the fuck Auburn finished 13-0 in ’04 and didn’t even manage a split of the National Championship. They weren’t blowing out teams like USC or OU were doing, but that was mainly because the SEC competition was and is tougher than those conferences. I think the voters all need to build a time machine and recast their votes for that year.

Ohio State Sucks!

When the hell are people going to learn that the Big Ten is the most overrated conference in college football? Ohio State is 0-9 against the SEC in bowl games. They suck. This is the second straight BCS championship game that they should NOT have been included in and this is the second straight time they’ve been dominated by an SEC foe. LSU crushed them 38-24 and it would’ve been something like 55-10 if LSU hadn’t put it in cruise control in the 2nd half.
