Penis growth Dear Dave, When will my penis start growing? I've been going through puberty since I was 14 and am now almost 16 and my penis hasn't grown that I can notice. Will masturbating before puberty is over affect it at all? Thanks, and your site rocks. Evil Weirdo Dear Evil Weirdo, When your penis will begin growing is determined by your genetics and nothing more. Manual stimuli will not either hinder or hamper the growth of your penis before or after puberty. Typically speaking, you will first get some hair down there, then the twig will begin growing in length and then in width. And if it doesn't, I suggest doing a lot of tongue exercises to coincide with your daily masturbation. Graphics vs. Gameplay "There is a FF XI in Japan. this month. It's for online play. The graphics don't look as good" that quote was taken from this thread on the Tekken zaibatsu forums http://www.tekkenzaibatsu.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=35178 ...................... What can I say.... Are there still people in the world who know so little about anything to say this? It was posted Mar 25th, 2002.... We have known about FF XI since damn FF IX was released! and also, "The graphics don't look as good" is another shocking statement..... Do you think anyone that looks at a final fantasy game and says that even deserves to play it? No my friend, they do not =) Do you look at classics like Chrono Trigger on SNES and say 'oh, those graphics aren't very good, I'm not very excited about this game'? no, you don't Well, that's my rant for today ^__^ p.s. My knee hurts -timeless p.p.s. my post was under the name timeless (*duh*)' Dear Timeless, I do think that graphics do matter, but I agree with where you're coming from. If graphics didn't matter, we wouldn't worry about upgrading consoles all the time. But, pretty graphics aren't the most important thing and if a game has great gameplay or in the case of an RPG an unforgettable storyline, it can easily overcome graphical downfalls. It kind of reminds me when I was with a friend/co-worker at EB and someone asked "does VF4 look good?" and he pretty much snapped at him and said if that's what you care about then you shouldn't be playing Virtua Fighter. I guess that's why I can play with the original VF models in the game for hours on end and not even notice it. Will the real Tom please stand up? Dude, that "Tom" guy in your latest Dear Dave column is a fraud! That's not me. Rotten bastard. HA! And I knew without an explanation what the #4 meal at McD's was! Anyway, it was ME that had the first letter printed in your column, and I've had many printed at IGN over the years as well. Anyway, what about the quality of the PS2 site there now? Reviews are horribly late coming out, and usually they suck. Gee, wonder who was doing all the work there before. And please, don't say the quality of IGN/PS2 hasn't deteriorated...it has since you left. And the previews aren't like they used to be either. They should double your salary and take you back. - Tom Dear Tom, I still think the guys are doing a good job over at IGNPS2. It's really hard to lose anyone considering just how much work as a group that we were each doing. If the site would've continued at the same level after losing 1/3rd of its staff, then it would've only meant that I wasn't doing anything. I was doing a whole lot of work, so my leaving should have left a mark. But, it doesn't mean they're not doing a good job right now and doesn't mean that they won't be able to get the quality back up to and beyond the point where it was when I left once Doug, David and Jeremy get settled with working with each other. Nice DVDs, but... Your DVD collection was pretty sweet but you're missing a few excellent movies. You got Dogma (non special edition????) and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back but why don't you have Clerks, Mallrats, or Chasing Amy? I don't know why I only have the regular edition of Dogma...unless it just came out first. I tend to buy the stuff I like when it first comes out (if I have money at the time) and get screwed when the special edition comes out later. If you look, you'll see that I have two Armageddon's, which pisses me off, and only have the normal Tron even though I desperately want the special edition. As for Clerks, you'll now see it on my list, and with regard to Mallrats my flatmate has always had it so I haven't felt the desire to go out and buy a personal copy. That's also why I don't have Fight Club yet and it's one of my favorite DVDs. DVDs and Suikoden Hey there Dave, I'm kind of bored and my spring break started today (March 29) so I figured, why not send you an email? Anyway, I was looking through your DVD collection (you have lots of cool movies-where do you get the money for this stuff?), and then I thought "Dave's pretty much the coolest guy I've ever (sort of) know!" Again, I'm really bored and there's nothing really pressing that you need to know from me, but I figured I'd better tell you that you're the coolest guy in the universe. Oh, by the way, have you ever playing any of the Suikoden games for PSX? I bought them a while ago and never got to really sink my teeth into them, but today I discovered that they're 2 of the coolest RPGs I've ever played. What did you think about them? Well, I guess this is it. baroquetrumpeter Dear Baroguetrumpeter, I actually got the majority of my DVDs during the crazy period on the Internet when people were pretty much giving stuff away to get more business to help their IPOs. About 27 of those DVDs were purchased for $9 total thanks to an 800.com 3 DVDs for $1 sale. A lot of the others were purchased with $10 or half/off coupons that were all over the place before. Until about six months ago, I hadn't spent more than $9 for any DVD. In need of an explanation... Looking though your DVD collection I see you own two Pokemon DVDs, you'd better have an excuse for that cause that's just sad. WTF is this, Princess Diaries, Tarzan, the Transformers, do you have some strange love for G rated annoying kids movies?? That's just sad. First of all, Transformers kicks ass. I don't need to explain that. With Pokemon, it's all about appealing to the cute Asian girls that come over to my place. It's not as big of a deal right now, but worked well when I first bought the DVDs. Tarzan...Disney made me do it. My VFer I also love VF4, and want to sleep with it but any way, Who is your fighter that you used before your friend took the game back from you after you stole it. I had been using Pai and had her up to 2nd Dan in the Kumite mode. I'm actually going to switch to Sarah and probably stick with her until I become her master. Then I think I'll try and tackle Akira and once again try and become the SPoD king. Tekken vs. VF Hey Dave. Remember me? If not, that's OK. I'm far too tired to type out exactly who I am, and why if you do no remember me, well, you've been using your hand a bit much (remember, that kills brains cells man). I read your deal on VF 4. Basically, I just wanted to say a huge thank you. I've been a huge Virtua Fighter fan since the first game (and have played them all religiously) and I was always saddened that Tekken got the lions share of attention, considering that not only was VF the first 3D fighting game, it has always been deeper than Tekken, if less accessible (which, in my opinion, is great; VF has always been for the hardcore gamer and fighting game fan). It's great to hear you say on your site that VF 4 is the best fighting game ever. I'd concur. I've played many fighting games in my life, and VF 4 takes the crown as my most favorite fighting game. The thing that makes VF 4 (for me) so amazing is not necessarily it's depth; this has been harped on by many, many people, but it's the game's ACCESSIBILITY that really amazes me. In Tekken, I kinda felt like sidestepping was more of a gimmick than anything really useful. Sure, I used it, but it just didn't "feel" quite right. In VF 4, whenever your character successfully sidesteps, you hear him make a certain sound, whether it's "Ah!" or "Huah" like AKIRA, and it just "clicks", too. I don't know how to really explain it other than the sidesteps just feel right, and they happen quickly, too, instead of the sluggish feel of Tekken. Anyway, I could go on and on and on about the depth, like how even characters feet placement changes intricacies of evading, throwing, attacking, and counterattacking. The other thing I wanted to say was that you should try out AKIRA. I know you use Pai, and she's dandy and all that (actually, all the characters are terrifically well balanced) but AKIRA is where it's at man. He may have turned you off because he's a bit slower than his previous incarnations, in the hands of a expert player, he's an absolute monster, and when he needs to be, he's as quick as lightening, and specializes in overpowering opponents with devastating (and AWESOME) moves and throws. I don't know if you've tried him out, but damn, you gotta dude. He's freaking incredible. Once you get the grease on with Akira, you'll be reversing your human opponents moves and overpowering them with ease, all the while looking cool as shit, and being the bee's knees. Try him out against Anthony Chau if and when you put some time in with him. You might make him destroy his controller in frustration. Which is always fun to watch. Anyway, sorry for the long email dude. And when in the flying F word are you gonna finish FF X? Have you lost your love for the game, and don't care about it? Take it easy. VF4 is definitely a good game and I honestly think that the VF series has been superior to Tekken since the beginning. That said, I still think that Tekken is a great fighting game series and its instant appeal helps make it a really good game to play when you have friends that like playing games but aren't hardcore into them. Those kind of people probably won't be able to get into or grow to like something like VF4. Like I said in an earlier response, I think I'm going to use Sarah next and then Akira once I've mastered Ms. Bryant (I'm guessing it'll be about late 2003 when I'm able to make the switch). I guess that's what I love about VF, you can spend years playing it and only have really mastered or gotten good with one or two characters.
