Becoming Obsessed With Amanda Heard
by Dave Z on Jan.11, 2010, under Babes, Movies
She’s not quite in the Megan Fox or pre-preggers Jessica Alpha star system yet, but my obsession with Amanda Heard is growing faster than my erection these days. I’ve already featured her twice as my Babe of the Week, once in 2009 and for her debut in 2008, and both times were the result of her fully exposing her acting abilities on film. Those in the know can appreciate the fact that I can’t get enough of beautiful young actresses that don’t have a fear of expressing themselves fully in that respect and it’s one of the reasons I’ve fallen so hard for Miss Heard. She’s beautiful, young, has a great body and doesn’t mind doing the dirty work despite the innocent and sweet appearance. It’s why she’s become one of the elite few who I’ll watch a movie for regardless of quality just to see her — for instance, my movie watching tonight consists of All The Boys Love Mandy Lane and Never Back Down just cause she’s in them.
Buy My Stuff

I’m in a rough spot right now so I’ve been forced to start selling off some of my shit I’ve collected over the years, starting off with some of my massive DVD and video games collections. Here are the links to my eBay auctions if you’re interested:
Chillin’ and Sippin’ Patrón
by Dave Z on Jan.24, 2009, under Movies
I still haven’t gotten drunk yet in 2009, but that hasn’t stopped me from drinking in moderation. For instance, I’ve been sipping Patrón all day since 11:11AM while doing nothing special. I read a few chapters in a book I’ve been reading, played some Too Human, watched some movies, and pretty much just lounged around the house in my underwear. Yep, I’m living the rockstar life.
I was just about to rant about my big pet peeve regarding really bad movies that are all about gratuitous nudity but the hot main character never shows her tits. Then about halfway through typing it up, the main character Daisy in Poison Ivy 4 finally showed her God-given precious goods. The rant was no longer needed and will have to wait until the next time this travesty happens.
Jerry Maguire
by Dave Z on Jan.24, 2009, under Movies
I just watched the last half of Jerry Maguire, a movie I’ve probably watched a billion times. It’s easily one of my favorite movies of all time and is filled with classic quotes and moments. One of my faves is undoubtedly the one when Bob Sugar goes for that hug because it cracks me up every time. Just the look on both of their faces and the body language were all perfectly awkward.
Last Days of Disco
by Dave Z on Dec.20, 2008, under Movies
I’ve been wanting to watch it forever, but because it was released in a very limited production and was fetching insane prices on eBay, I had never been able to watch The Last Days of Disco until late last night. Luckily, Brandon — being the sweet and caring guy he is — decided to bring me over a care package that included Fallout 3, the strat guide for it, chicken soup and the aforementioned movie on DVD.
The truth is that I had no idea whether or not it was even a good movie. I just wanted to see it for the young Kate Beckinsale because that’s all it takes for me sometimes, as seen by my extensive Jessica Alba movie collection. What I found out that it was a fairly entertaining movie and was worth watching for more than just Kate Beckinsale jerk material. It gets a full cock up from me.
My Dark Knight Prediction
by Dave Z on Aug.03, 2008, under Movies
First off, let me just say what everyone else has already said…The Dark Knight is a phenomenal movie and is arguably the best comic book movie ever released. I still haven’t seen Iron Man yet, but I do like it more than anything else that I have seen. The whole direction they took the movies starting with Batman Begins was genius, Bale does an awesome job as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Heath Ledger deserves Oscar consideration for his role as The Joker. My only complaint about the movie is that the female lead just wasn’t hot enough. I’m sorry but Donnie Darko’s sister just isn’t attractive enough to be a superhero’s love interest. Just doesn’t work for me! Other than that, though, it’s a wicked awesome movie.
With that out of the way, I’m here to make my prediction as to what it’ll finish with at the box office domestically. It’s currently at an estimated $394 million, making it already the 8th highest grossing moving of all time after three weeks. There’s talk of whether or not it can take down Titanic, but, as most experts agree, I don’t think it really has a chance. Where will it fall then? My guess is that it’ll fall in at #2 with an all-time domestic box office gross of $516,533,518 (+/- 5%). Putting it about $56 million ahead of Star Wars but still about $84 million short of the movie where Leo dies like a little bitch at the end because he doesn’t have enough meat on him to withstand the cold water unlike his chubby, rich, and well-fed girlfriend.
