I Love Gypsy Bar

by Dave Z on Nov.30, 2008, under Blog

First, every night I’ve gone to Gypsy has been a lot of fun except for that one night where I struck out something like 10 straight times, with five girls telling me don’t bother because I’m too fat (I blame the fact that I shaved and that brings out the double chin). The girls are always hot and we almost always have a great time.

What’s even cooler about it is that the bouncers have seen Brandon & I enough that they have decided to just start waving us in and don’t even bother carding us anymore. The odd thing about this is that I’ve been kicked out of this club twice already and both times I turned into angry Dave and starting yelling “I’m going to fucking kill you!” repeatedly to the bouncer and had to be pulled away. Despite this, we’re getting VIP treatment now. I really love Boston.

Friday Night @ Venu

by Dave Z on Nov.30, 2008, under Blog

Before I can talk about the fun festivities that was Saturday night, I first must rewind the clock and share the dirt on Friday night at Club Venu. The reason I couldn’t divulge anything yesterday was because I had one of those all-day hangovers and pretty much stayed in bed until 8PM at night when I finally got up to do my “morning cardio” even though it was already well into the evening.

The night started off with Mr. Justice and I jumping in a cab only to have another cab try to box us out and not let us move. It was some weird ass shit and we still don’t know why it happened. Brandon & I were wicked close to getting out and throwing down with the crazy ass cabbie. Eventually our driver was able to get past the crazy cabbie and took us over to Venu. We couldn’t get in at first because the place apparently wasn’t open yet at 10PM so we just walked around a bit and eventually hit up some bar for some drinks before heading back to Venu a little closer to 11.

Asian Invasion @ The Estate

by Dave Z on Nov.27, 2008, under Blog

I used to hate Thanksgiving because in San Francisco it meant that everyone I knew was out of town for the weekend and pretty much all the bars were empty because seemingly nobody is from that city and thus also gone for the weekend. I surmised that Boston would be different because while there would be some loss in talent from the girls going to college here from out-of-state that there would be enough coming back home for the holidays to make up for it. Last night at The Estate and then Gypsy Bar confirmed that this should prove to be an eventful weekend to say the least.

It didn’t seem to be that way at first, however. The level of party-going traffic on the train and on the streets when Brandon and I ventured out was pretty minimal. We were starting to think it was a bad decision to come out. Both Gypsy and Estate seemed pretty dead from the outside. What intrigued us was that we kept seeing hot groups of Asian girls going into and leaving Estate so it definitely piqued our interest enough to head inside. While it wasn’t that full initially, upon entering we were absolutely bombarded with the fact that the place was 99% Asian and probably 90% of the girls were rather hot. I hadn’t been in such a high concentration of beautiful Asians since the last time I was in Japan during my IGN.com days. Not even in San Francisco, where there’s a massive population of them.

Finally Got My MA Plates!

by Dave Z on Nov.26, 2008, under Blog

It has been an extremely long and arduous process, but after 3+ months of Hell I have finally acquired my Massachusetts license plates! And with this finally taken care of, I can finally consider myself completely moved in and am now a certified MASShole.

The reason that it’s taken this long is that CitiFinancial is completely inept and seemingly loves to employ ill-informed and ignorant morons. I had refinanced with them for a lower APR back in June 2007 but upon trying to renew my registration in California before I moved out to Boston, I found that I couldn’t because the title transfer from Wells Fargo to CitiFinancial had never taken place — despite the fact that they had the loan for more than a year. This was just the start of the shit I had to deal with to get everything straightened out, much to my dismay.

America’s Hottest College Student

by Dave Z on Nov.24, 2008, under Babes

I came across some site recently that named Cassie Keller America’s Hottest Teen College Student (or America’s Hottest 18 Year Old College Student, I forget) and I instantly fell in love and just knew I had to make her my Babe of the Week. I’ve developed the biggest crush on this beautiful young lady and I’m sure you will find yourselves in the same predicament after checking out her breathtaking photos that I’ve included with this posting.

The 15 I’ve included are just the tip of the iceberg, however, as I suggest you Google and find all that the ‘net has to offer so you can undoubtedly come to the same conclusion as I have — that Cassie Keller is one of the finest females that has ever walked on this lucky planet.

Call it a Comeback

by Dave Z on Nov.24, 2008, under Babes

If I had a chance to bone Britney Spears right now, would I? I’ll ask myself that on occasion and it’s not an easy answer. If she were just some chick that looked like she does, I might have to say no because she looks kinda busted and used these days. That said, she IS Britney Spears and there definitely would be some kind of honor in doing her raw — although the ridicule might actually surpass the praise I’d get.

So, yeah, I’d probably bang her out and would do so just so I could tell people I did and make some money off the nude’s I’d undoubtedly take and for the sex tape I’d undoubtedly make. For now, I’ll just settle with making her my Babe of the Week.

Oh, and…

by Dave Z on Nov.21, 2008, under Sports

I’m just blocking out last night’s game against GTech out of my mind and will pretend it never happened. It’s my fault for getting too excited for this team and coach. Embarrassing. I had to stop watching and kill some zombies in L4D at halftime because I was just getting so frustrated that I was starting to get physically ill.

Oops…I Did It Again!

by Dave Z on Nov.21, 2008, under Babes

Umm, so, yeah, late on the Babe of the Week again after putting up the trio the same night and updating one early. Oops, my bad. I’ll put one up tonight or tomorrow and I think I already have an idea on who to post. Here’s a hint…she was my first Babe of the “Day” ever back when I was doing the IGN PSX mailbag for those old schoolers. :)

I Love Wide Right

by Dave Z on Nov.17, 2008, under Sports

Obviously, I owe plenty of thanks to the “Wide Right” Gods in how they’ve helped my ‘Canes beat FSU several times and subsequently won National Championships. Now you can chalk up an apparent fantasy football victory to their credit. I went into the game with all my players done and up by 14 points with Kellen Winslow and Ryan Lindell left to play for my opponent. It was looking really good for me in the first three quarters, but then things started to get frightening.

Winslow got 30+ yards bringing his point total up to 4 and Lindell made a couple of extra points bring him up to 9; this made the score 67-66 in my favor after Dawson made that 56 yard FG to give the Browns the lead with 93 seconds left to play. I was actually hoping that Dawson would’ve missed because then the Bills would’ve just run out the clock but he made it with plenty of time left for Buffalo to get into FG range. Then the idiotic Romeo decided to squib kick it and put give the Bills prime field position near mid-field and the Bills quickly marched into FG range. I was absolutely livid. I was thinking that he would surely make the kick and I would lose to one of our league’s worst teams 69-67.

But then when the Bills were lining up for the field goal I thought to myself “wide right” and then I typed “WIDE RIGHT” in my aim chat window to Dave Toole. Then the announcers started talking about “wide right” in the Bills lore…and then…Lindell missed the kick “wide right” and I squeaked out a 67-65 victory! And unless the official scoring changes between now and this morning, I will be sitting pretty at 8-3 and with a playoff spot potentially locked up!

A Win is a Win!

by Dave Z on Nov.16, 2008, under Sports

Already stated it after the Hurricanes game on Thursday and I’ll state it again after today’s narrow escape by the Dolphins against the Oakland Raiders — a win is a win. I thought we might have blown a great opportunity to stay strong in the playoff hunt after that long kick return for a touchdown gave the Raiders their first lead of the game, but my boys came through in the clutch and drove for the game winning field goal with less than a minute remaining to seal a victory. Miami is now 6-4 and if they can upset the Pats next week and if the Jets lose to the Titans, then we will be sitting in a position never thought possible — atop the AFC East!

The one apparent downer to my fruitful football weekend, which began on Thursday, is that my fantasy football team has a very precarious 15 point lead over one of the worst teams in the league, with that team still having Winslow, Randle El, and Lindel to play. He also has the Cards D going right now while all I have is 2nd string Mewelde Moore. If I lose this game, it was be heartbreaking given the competition and the fact that I got home 1 minute too late and was stuck with BenJavus Green-Ellis who I was going to bench in favor of either Ted Ginn Jr or Lance Moore (15 and 16 points respectively) if Sammy Morris was cleared to play, which he was. I ended up with 0 points in that slot instead of at least 15. The late work day on Thursday just might cost me a victory that I was favored to win by 51 points. Sad Christmas if that happens.
