What A Great Weekend

by Dave Z on Oct.26, 2008, under Blog, Sports

For starters, I had amazing nights out on both Friday and Saturday. Both evenings were loads of fun and there were plenty of hot chicks to entertain everywhere we went. Then things went really good with all of my football teams on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Miami Hurricanes took care of business against Wake Forest and still have an outside shot at the ACC title or at least being bowl eligible. The Dolphins played great today and beat down the Buffalo Bills, with Ginn Jr finally showcasing his playmaking ability. And that’s not all, my fantasy football team scored 109 points and barring a 40+ point outburst by Scaife on MNF should up its record to 6-2 and into a three-way tie atop the division.

And in what might quite possibly be the best news of the weekend, I weighed-in this morning at 299.6 lbs. Hopefully I won’t ever allow myself to go up past the 300 mark ever again for the rest of my life. If I do, I give you permission to put a bullet in my head. It feels good to be back under 300 lbs and I can’t wait till my wrist and ankle/foot heal up so I can start getting back into the gym on a regular basis.

frickin sweet, dave. you’ve inspired me to get my scrawny self to the gym, been going for several weeks now. trying to put on some muscle, though i hardly know anything about how to go about it.. just going and picking up heavy things. regardless, here’s to climbing the “ladder.”

I’ve got a 75 point lead with my team, though my opponent has peyton, reggie wayne and the colts defense, so things are looking good but stranger things have happened. barring the worst case scenario i’ll be 6-2 as well, somehow, having addai, parker, bush and boldin all shelved lately! go go aaron rodgers!

Good luck man! Things would be just so much easier if guys like me could just trade my excess weight to guys like you that have trouble adding it. :p

That’s what’s fun about there being players on MNF…there’s always. You’ll most likely win that, but, like you said, stranger things have happened! For instance, a guy at work went into last week’s MNF game down by 27 points with Sammy Morris and Randy Moss playing and the other guy had that 27 point lead and Michael Pittman. It seemed like a lock because it would’ve taken solid games by both players just to cover that 27 point gap let alone the gap plus what Pittman would ultimately score…but Morris and Moss both went off and he won! Hope that doesn’t happen to you this week. :)

ya. it seems every week there’s one or two players that just go off and put up 30 points. Jones with 3 TDs for the Jets and S-Jax last week. I sound like a tool worrying about a lead that size but if Peyton and Wayne hooked up a few times, it could have been close. And those are two guys who can do some work when at their best.
