I forced myself into the gym this morning only to find out that some jackass somehow switched the treadmill to the metric system and that’s just thrown off my whole mojo for the day. I just can’t think in meters or kilometers and it’s too stressful trying to figure out how fast I should set the machine to in KPH when I normally try to jog at a 5 MPH pace. Then when I find a pace that feels the same, shit still doesn’t feel right because I’m reaching the quarter mile marks much quicker than normal. Well, that’s because it’s a quarter of a kilometer and not a mile. It’s just threw me off and I’m not sure if I’ll recover from it today. I’m kind of wishing I would’ve followed my gut and skipped the workout so I would have time to hit up McDonald’s for breakfast.
