I Need a Victory Pose

by Dave Z on Dec.26, 2007, under Blog

With the fake birthday of Jesus now behind us (he was really born around September 29, 5 B.C. and not the same day as the Roman Sun God that we worship every Christmas, you fucking God-hating pagans!), the next big birthday is mine on March 5th. I’ll be 35 years old and it just hit me that I don’t yet have a good victory pose.

As my good friend Abe says, “everyone needs a victory pose”. Yet, I still don’t have one. I’ve tried a bunch, but nothing that I would really call “mine”. I tend to use the NPH in Harold & Kumar or the arms raised, head looking up while on your knees pose from Platoon. They work but they’re not “mine” and that sucks. I need a good Victory Pose!

There was a scholar on a show last night who said Jesus’ birth is definitely a couple of years off, and He may have been born around Spring time(April or so), because that’s when Shepherds usually tended their flock of sheep(relating to the story.)

Yeah, I was bored on christmas so I googled “when was Jesus really born?” and read like 50 different sites about it. bottom line, it was NOT december 25th. all sources pretty much agreed that december 25th was merely the celebration of the roman sun god and it was adopted by the catholic church to appease the pagans. as for the real date, i read everything from spring time to fall time. late september was what i noticed was talked about most, with it’s sources being a bunch of bible verses with regard to john the baptists birth and its relation to the birth of Jesus.

also read some verses from the bible that seem to clearly state that worshiping based on some pagan holiday is VERY wrong….so all those Christians worshiping the birth of Christ on Dec 25th are going to hell! ;)
